5. Defats Dynamite Kid to win the vacated title. This is the original Tiger Mask, Satoru Sayama. He held the title until 04/82 until it was vacated due to an injury.
6. Defeats Gran Hamada to win the vacant title.
7. Title vacated on 04/03/83 when Tiger Mask suffers an injury.
8. Defeats Fishman for the vacant title. On 08/12/83 the title is vacated when Tiger Mask retires.
9. Wins a triangular match defeating Davey Boy Smith (aka The British Bulldog) on 02/03/84 in Sapporo, Japan and The Cobra on 02/07/84. The title is vacated 11/84 when Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith move to All Japan Wrestling. In 07/84 the WWF took over Georgia Championship Wrestling, and Les Thornton, who at the time was the NWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion, wrestles as WWF Jr. Heavyweight Champion in some shows.
10. Defeats Black Tiger for the vacant title.
11. Title is abandoned on 10/31/85 when the WWF severs its ties with New Japan.
