WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, 1980s
Note: there was a version of the WWF Light Heavyweight
title, that existed primarily in Mexico in the 1980s and 1990s. It was
unified during the Octuple Jr. heavyweight tournment in Japan in 1996.
When the WWF decided to hold this tournament to crown a new champion, the belt
from the Octuple championship was returned and no longer recognized.
