Denney, Margaret Mahala "MAGGIE" (b. SEP 1869, d. BET 1920 AND 1935)
Note: She is shown as MAHALEY in the 1910 Pike County census and as MARGARITE in the 1920 Champaign County, Ohio Census and was shown as "MAGGIE" on her marriage papers. On her daughters death certificate and obituary, she is shown as Margaret.
The 1900 Pike County, Beaver Township census report finds Mahala age 30 living with her second husband Grant age 25 and their sons Charles age 1 year and Herman age 3 months. They also have living with them Mahala's three sons from her previous marriage Dorrel Resinger age 8 years, Roy D. Resinger age 6 and Harold Resinger age 4 years. She was also living next door to a widow Rowland and her three children, I suspect she was related to them somehow as her family line married into the Rowlands.
The 1910 Pike County, Ohio census shows her as MAHLEY age 40 living with her husband Grant age 37 (Note that above he was only 25!), sons Charles age 11 and Herman age 10, daughters Phoeba age 8, Mary age 5 and Gertrude age 3. They also still had two of the stepsons living with them, Dorrel (spelled DORL) Rysinger age 18 and Roy Rysinger age 16. Note that Harold who would have been 14 years old was not living with them, may have been dead except the note below which was obtained from Thomas Denney's letter stated Harold was living in Columbus, Ohio. UPDATE: Per the obituary for Eveline (Mahala's mother), Eveline reared her grandson Harold.
The 1920 census finds them in Champaign County, Ohio. Mahala was now shown as MARGARITE age 50 living with her husband Grant age 47, sons Charles age 20 and Herman age 19 and daughters Phoeba age 18, Mary M. age 14, Gertrude R. age 13 and Irene M. age 9. They now have one stepson living with them, Dorrel Rysinger age 28.
Her 2nd husband Grant worked as a section hand for the C. & L. E. Railroad and died as a result of an accident when the Hand Car ran off the track. The news article on the death states the hand car was speeding but did not indicate who was driving or in charge of the car.
The death certificate for her 2nd husband Grant Bandy indicates he was a widower, thus Margaret must have been deceased then

Her sons Harold and Dorrel both lived at Columbus, Ohio.
Charles & Herman Bandy were last known living at Ashland, Ohio in 1935
