Note: The family was enumerated in the 1900 Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio census as Ancel age 35 b. Dec 1864, Hattie age 33 b. Dec 1866, Hazel age 7 b. Jun 1872, Alice age 6 b. Apr 1894, and George age 5 b. Jun 1895. There was no mention of children Charles and Melvin & the report shows Hattie was the mother of three with three living, thus there is a big discrepancy between Rootsweb World Connect Report. "judyte" by Judith Esarove & this census. Also, the dates Judith gives for the children are different. I am going to remove Charles & Melvin as children for the time being

He was listed in the 1892 Columbus Ohio City directory as a "Teamster", may have driven a Mule Team!

Note: I am putting this line together with a little apprehension about whether this is the correct William Russell. I have no evidence that William, son of George Russell married this Alice, the date of birth is close but there is some difference. Rootsweb World Connect Misc Info Report by. "judyte" Judith Esarove has his DOB as Mar 2, 1855, most other documentation has it as Sep 1855. I have considerable documentation to build on this family so will do so pending further proof he is the correct person, if anyone has any knowledge of this, please contact me

George was a farmer

His death certificate indicated incorrectly that he was born in Indiana

He died of Organic Heart Disease and was laid to rest on Jun 27, 1924 at the Allen Chapel Cemetery, Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio

Some documentation, such as death certificate has him as son of George Russell & Melinda Russell but since he was born 1855, would Mary Ann Ray would have to be his mother

The family was enumerated in the 1900 Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio census. William age 44, b. Sep 1855, Alice age 38 b. Jan 1862, Ellen age 18 b. May 1882, Rhoda age 12 b. Apr 1888, and Opal age 1 b. Jan 1899, all born in Ohio

The family was enumerated in the 1910 Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio census as William age 55, Alice age 46 & Opal L. age 11. Now, also enumerated with this family Clara Devers age 15 granddaughter, Charles Cottrell age 23 son, Albert Irvin age 4 grandson (Everett Albert Irvin, son of Rhoda Russell & Thomas Irvin), Barthenie Brewer granddaughter, Nancy Glassburn age 21 daughter, Maggie M. Glassburn age 17 daughter. At present time, do not know correct relationships!

The family was enumerated in the 1920 Jackson Township, Pike County Ohio census as William age 65 and wife Anna E. age 67

They were enumerated in the 1870 Addison Township, Gallia County, Ohio census living next door to Lurinda's parents. James age 34 b. Ireland, Lurinda age 30, Mary age 4, Henry age 1 and Cynthia Russel age 22 ( Lurinda's sister). All born in Ohio except for James

The family was enumerated in the 1880 Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio census, Lurinda is head of household age 43, Mary E. age 12, Henry age 10, Cynthia age 7, and George W. age 4, all born in Ohio. She was living between her sister Malinda Reisinger & brother George Russell

In 1870 & 1880 census reports, her name appears to be LURINDA, in Pike County Ohio marriages, it appears as LUCINDA in one entry and as LUCINDA in another entry

The family was enumerated in the 1900 Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio census, J. L. Reisinger (her 2nd husband) age 55 b. PA, Lucinda age 63, Henry Reisinger age 30 (should be Carter unless he changed his name upon mother's marriage), Emmet Reisinger age 27 , & Joseph Reisinger age 20 (Emmet & Joseph sons of J.L. from previous marriage!)

Rhoda died of heart disease and was laid to rest on Nov 8, 1914 at the Allen Ridge Cemetery

Not sure if Rhoda Russell is correct wife for George White & James Reisinger, I have several in my data base but current birth dates on them could preclude any of them being this person as this Rhoda first married 1862 which would have been at age about 12-13
