The family was enumerated in the 1900 Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio census: Comadore age 24 b. Jan 1876, Belle age 36 b. Jun 1864 (notice she is much older then Commadore!), Lawrence age 2 and a John Dunbeck age 11, b. Jan 1889 listed as a stepson. John must have been a son of Belle from a previous marriage to a DUNBECK. The census shows Belle as a mother of 10 with one living!

The family was enumerated in the 1910 Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio census: Commodor age 34 & new wife Laura J. age 26, all born in Ohio. They were married for 2 years. Lawrence was not here, perhaps deceased or farmed out as a laborer or went with his mother. This census shows Laura a mother of one with zero living

The family was enumerated in the 1920 Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio census: Comadore age 46, Laura J. age 39, Howard G. age 5, and Gladys age 1 7/12 all born in Ohio

The family was enumerated in the 1930 Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio census: Comadore age 54, Laura J. age 44, Glendon (Howard) age 17, and Gladys age 14, all born in Ohio. Notice large discrepancy in ages between 1920 & 1930 !!
Such is the life of census takers! They had to depend upon the data gave to them & it could be neighbors or cousins!
