These beautiful photos were made at the Kirkness Studio in
Fells Point at the corner of Bank and Broadway. They were
obviously taken at the same time, since the flowers on the
pedastal and the floor are identical. Perhaps these children
were fraternal twins, cousins or at least sibs very close in age.
The photos are not dated but appear to be early 20th-century.

An accompanying confirmation photo of Margaret Muehlberger
taken in the same photo studio was found with Lillian and Elmer.
The pose, corsage and hair style are mirror images of Lillian.

In the 1880 census index for Baltimore City,
a Muelberger family is found in the second ward
(which is the neighborhood of Fell's Point)
consisting of Christian (born 1849), his wife Mary
(born 1846), daughter Lizzie (born 1871) and
son Albert (born 1877). Perhaps these photos are
those of Albert's children.
