Baltimore City Nineteenth-Century Photos

Brothers Karl, Robert (1868-1937) and Julius Schmidt immigrated to Baltimore
between 1885 to 1888 from Latvia ("Russland"). They worked for
the B&O railroad until they had enough money to send for their
mother Annie (Amelis) and sister Emilie.  After their mother died, the
three brothers went down the coastline to Lake Charles, Louisana.
Later, Julius and Robert went to Galveston, Texas.

Both of these cabinet cards were made in Baltimore's Perkins Photo Studio.
