Bonnie Proctor has had more than a bit of good luck in finding
her ancestor, Jakob Yost in old Baltimore photos. First, she connected with
Carolyn Behrendt who had submitted a group photo from the Baltimore
Fire Brick Company of Locust Point to this web site.
Bonnie recognized Jakob Yost in that photo!

Next, a relative still living in Baltimore not only confirmed Bonnie's identification
but gave her an original copy of that same group photo as well as two others,
also taken of the Baltimore Retort and Fire Brick Company. A great story ...

Three Photos of workers at the Baltimore Retort and Brickyard
Group photo of workers at Baltimore Brickyard, circa 1890
Jakob Yost has not yet been identified in this group photo when
Baltimore Brick Company was located on Gay Street, before 1890.
Possibly Jakob would have been in the area that has broken off
[and is missing]
