aunties letter

This is the letter Auntie sent to my family to tell them a bit about them selves on our arrival

Guildhall Square, Launceston. 16/6/40

Dear Mr & Mrs Dyson

I thought i must write you as you are anxiously wondering about your little boy, he was very tired last night when he arrived, but after a good nights rest is full of life again today.

I have one little boy myself aged four so they will be splendid company for one another.

Leonards companion is with him Ronald Channon i expect you know him, & i can assure you they are quite happy & contented & try not too worry as i will do my best to make them comfortable and give them a good home, i will write you and let you know how he is getting along, Leonards Sister is next door so they are together all the time. If there is anything in particular you would like me to dod for Leonard I shall be only too pleased

                                   yours sincerely
