Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary Windsor Princess Royal

NOTES: Christened: Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary, but always known by her last name, Mary. Mary was to prove the brightest of the family. Her eldest brother once said that it was a pity she would not succeed, for "she was much cleverer than me". In 1932 she was declared Princess Royal. The Princess Royal died suddenly and unexpectedly in the garden of Harewood House, Yorkshire. a.k.a.: Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood.


Henry William Frederick Albert Windsor Duke of Gloucester

Lady Alice Christabel Montague-Douglas

Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester is the widow of the late Duke of Gloucester, third son of George V. Lady Alice Christabel Montagu Douglas Scott was born on Christmas Day, 1901 at Montagu House, London. She was the third daughter of the seventh Duke of Buccleuch, who had been a fellow midshipman of the future king George V. Lady Alice was educated at home until the age of 12. She then went to school at West Malvern, spending a year in Paris before returning home to be presented at Court in 1920. Lady Alice has greatly enjoyed outdoor pursuits, including skiing, and has been an accomplished watercolourist. She also travelled widely, living for many months in Kenya and also spending time in India on a visit to her brother.


George Edward Alexander Edmund Windsor Duke of Kent

NOTES: a.k.a.: Prince George; Christened: George Edward Alexander Edmund; Died in an air crash in Scotland when he was serving in the RAF as an air commodore. He was troubled by drug addiction during his youth. He was also rumoured to be a homosexual.
