Verna Bledsoe

Verna Geneal Bledsoe, 62, of Kingsport, a resident of Brookhaven Manor, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport.

Verna graduated from Lynn View High School in 1968. She was a telephone operator for 25 years at United Inter-Mountain Telephone Co. She journeyed to Tulsa, OK to further enlighten herself on the word of the Lord. She attended the Oral Roberts Bible Ministry and was certified as an ordained minister.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lois Bloomer Bledsoe and a sister, Damia Senetha Fields.

Survivors include her sister, Jean Martwick & special brother in law, James; her brother, Donnie Wayne Bledsoe; and niece, Kimberly Grace Berry, all of Kingsport.

Funeral arrangements were private.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is serving the Bledsoe family.
