Claude Davidson

KINGSPORT -- Claude Henry (Buddy) Davidson, 42, of 498 Galloway St., Kingsport, died yesterday.  The Washington County Sheriff's Department was investigating the death.
     He was a native of Sullivan County having resided in Kingsport his entire life.  He was a graduate of Lynn View High School and an employee of Tennessee Eastman Company where he worked in the Tenite Division.  He served in the U.S. Army and attended Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church in Gray.
     Surviving are two daughters, Miss Wendy Davidson and Miss Shellie Davidson, both of Gray; his mother, Mrs. Mollie Davidson, Kingsport; three sisters, Mrs. Jack (Delores) Jennings, Bristol, Va., Mrs. Artie (Phyllis) Canipe, Kingsport and Mrs. Ireates Miller, Birmingham, Ala.; one brother Carl Wayne Davidson, Rogersville.
     He was preceded in death by (microfilm smeared, unreadable) 1975.
     Friends may call from 7-9 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.
     The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to services.
     Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow from State Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Gonzales officiating.

Kingsport - Franklin Henry Dillow, 69, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, Sunday April 19, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Born in Sullivan County, TN, Franklin moved to Hawkins County, TN in 1967. He served 3 years in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman. Franklin retired from Eastman Chemical Company after over 39 years of service. He was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Irene Smith Dillow; three brothers, R. T. Dillow, Everett Dillow and John Dillow.

Franklin is survived by his wife Wanda (Collins) Dillow of the home; two daughters, Tracie Hilton and husband Mike of Church Hill, and Jill Jackson and husband Patrick of Church Hill; two beautiful and special granddaughters, Katie Hilton and Kelly Jackson; three sisters, Margaret Prichard and husband Harvey of Elizabethton, TN, Francis Lee of Kingsport, and Mary Lee Kern and husband Carl of Michigan; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7 pm Tuesday April 21, 2009 at Apostolic Lighthouse, Kingsport, TN. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm at the church with Pastor David Peters officiating. Music will be provided by Jon Peters and singers.

A military graveside service will be 1:30 pm Wednesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with American Legion Post 3/265 and TN National Guard conducting the rites. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Jerry Carter will serve as honorary pallbearer. Anyone wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 pm to go in to procession to the cemetery.
