KINGSPORT - Jackie Rowland Dean, 64, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, (Oct. 28, 2007) at Wellmont Hol­ston Valley Medical Center.

He was born on March 13, 1943 in Kingsport to Isaac Dean and Salina Hughes Dean. He was a graduate of Lynn View High School and UT Institute of Electronics. Jackie loved getting together with his family. He was a gifted storyteller and loved to tell stories and jokes to his family and friends. He never met a stranger. He was an avid gardener and his flowers were the talk of the neighborhood. He also loved to fish and was an avid fan of the Indianapo­lis Colts and UT Football. One of Jackie's gifts from God was his ability to fix anything, he loved working with his hands. He was the seventh son of a seventh son. He adored his wife Ella, his two daughters and his grandchildren. He worked for Tennessee Eastman for 20 years and was a maintenance supervisor of Ridgefields Country Club until his retirement. He was a member of Ft. Robinson Baptist Church and also attended Christian Life Center Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gale Dean; and sister, Ova Harrison.

He is sur­vived by his wife, Ella Blankenbecler Dean, who was his constant com­panion for twenty two years; two daughters, Bobbie Kaye Bellamy and husband, Kevin of Church Hill and Lorrie Ellen Larkins and husband, Zane of Gray; three grandchildren, Lauren Bellamy, Zeke and Zoie Larkins; five broth­ers, Lawrence Dean, Ray Dean and wife, Eula, all of Kingsport, Jimmy Dean and wife, Joyce, Wayne Dean and wife, Patsy, all of Mount Carmel, Richard "Dickie" Dean and wife, Judy of Sur­goinsville; two sisters, Jo Jen­nings and husband Bob, Wilma Bartley and husband, Everett all of Kingsport; sister-in-law, Ra­mona Dean of· Kingsport; best friend, Glen Jaynes of Kingsport; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and special pets, Tabatha, Ben and Jacob.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7p.m. Thursday in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.

Services will follow with Pastor Jeff Wallen and Pastor Keith Barker officiating

Graveside services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. in Oak Hill Memorial Park, The Garden of the Last Supper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Journey's End No-Kill Animal Society, 285 Rock Springs Road, Kingsport, Tenn. 37663, www.netal.org.

Genevieve Dingus (Oaks, Loy)

Knoxville -- Genevieve "Gibby"  Dingus Loy-age 60 of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lou Dingus; brother, Ronnie Dingus.

Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Loy; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sonya Oaks; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Robert Stapeleton; daughter, Teresa Dorton; daughter and son-
in-law, Debbie and Terry Wampler; son, Richie Loy; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Scott Gallaher; 12 grandchildren; brother, Larry Dingus; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2003, 8 p.m. in the Evergreen Chapel with Rev. Burl Covington and Rev. Carl Loy, Jr. officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Chapel. Arrangements by Evergreen Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 7426 Asheville Hwy.

MARGARET DYER HENRY, age 66, a resident of Grace Health Care, died Saturday, October 10, 2009.

She was born January 16, 1943 in McClure, Virginia a daughter of the late Woodrow Dyer and Mildred Shipman Dyer. She lived most of her life in the Kingsport area and was a member of Ketron Memorial Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Rusty Henry and wife, Julie of Kingsport; granddaughter, Taylor Henry and grandson, Tyler Henry.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Staff of Grace Health Care for the care given to Mrs. Henry.

Graveside services for Margaret D. Henry will be conducted at 11 A.M., Tuesday, October 13th in the Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the gravesite by 10:50 A.M. Tuesday morning. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
