LIMESTONE — Vernon L. Estepp, 69, 203 Keys Road, died Wednesday (Jan.
10, 2001) at his residence.
He was a native of Washington County and was the son of the late Elzie
and Nellie Riddle Estepp.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jordan Estepp and
Brittany Keebler; a sister, Ruth Strong; and a brother, Bruce Estepp.
Mr. Estepp was a member of the Limestone Freewill Baptist Church and was
a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jean Blakley Estepp, of the home; two
sons, Jerry Estepp, Limestone and Ricky Estepp, Telford; two daughters,
Debbie Elliott, Limestone and Gayle Keebler, Gray; eight grandchildren;
three sisters, Stella Mae Harrison, Greeneville, Shirley Brown, White
Pine and Pam James, Greeneville; two brothers, Bobby Estepp, Limestone
and Raymond Estepp, Chuckey; stepmother, Beulah Estepp, Chuckey; and
several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Limestone Freewill
Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Cutshall and the Rev. Jim Adcox
The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Limestone Freewill Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family.
