KINGSPORT - Pamela Elaine McCurry, 60, passed away on (April 21, 2008) after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 30, 1947.

Pam was predeceased by her father, the Reverend Frank R. McCurry; her maternal grandfather, Kelly C. Fields; her paternal grandparents, J. A. and Mattie McCurry; her uncles, Jack McCurry, and Lester McMillan; her aunts, Dorothy McCurry Buchanan, Frances McCurry Dean and Eula McCurry McMillan; and her former husband, John Randall Richmond.

Left behind to celebrate her life and cherish her memories are her mother, Joan Fields McCurry; grandmother, Lois Culbertson Fields; two sisters, Belinda Hawk and Donna Starnes; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph A. and Tracy McCurry; one nieces and her husband, Joni and Brian Haynes; and four nephews, Meredith Hawk, Tyler McCurry, Michael McCurry, and Corbin Haynes.

Pam graduated from Lynn View High School in 1967. She married in 1969 and traveled with her husband through his tours of duty in the Marine Corp to Richmond, VA, Paris Island, SC, Hawaii, and Jacksonville, FL.

For the last several years she was the pianist at Bethany Baptist Church in Jonesborough, TN and for the Bethany Quartet. She was employed with Wal-Mart when she became ill.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday (April 23, 2008) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 7 p.m. with Rev. Joe W. Byrd and Rev. Jerry Keesling officiating. Music will be provided by Sharon Martin.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday (April 24, 2008) at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kelly Wayne Strickler, Steven Dean, Brian Haynes, Dennis McMillan, Ron Morrison, and Meredith Hawk. Friends and family planning to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m.

Donald W. Morgan

Donald W. Morgan, age 59. of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Mr. Morgan was born on July 6, 1949 to the late Earl and Edith Winegar Morgan of Kingsport. He was employed by Eastman Chemical Company for 42 years. He was a member of Morrison Chapel United Methodist Church

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Morgan.

Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Kathy Morgan; his special brother, Ronald Morgan; three sisters, Brenda Kilgore and husband, Jim , Joyce Salyer and husband, Tommy, and Judy Henry and husband, Jack, all of Kingsport; father and mother-in-law, Howard and Ruby Keith; one brother-in-law, Michael Keith and wife, Robin; one sister-in-law, Sandra Morgan; nieces and nephews, Jeff Salyer, Kristen Carter, Kim Bailey, Chris and Michele Bolas, Rhonda Salyers, Justin Morgan, Sherri Rogers and Brandon Kilgore; special great-niece and great-nephew, Kelsey and Christian Bailey; and several other aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Kathy Morgan. The visitation will be held in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Bill Porter, Dr. Tony Gonzalez providing a special prayer, Pastor David Salley and Pastor Garry Eads, officiating. Music will be provided by Terry Bennett and Trish Smith and pianist, Linda Vaughn.

Military graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Garden of the Last Supper at Oak Hill Memorial Park by the American Legion Hammond Post # 3 and Gate City Post # 265. Family and friends should meet in the funeral home chapel in order to go in procession to the gravesite.

Chris Bolas, Jeff Salyer, Tommy Salyer, Jack Henry, Justin Morgan, Philip Bailey, Brandon Kilgore and Franklin Carter will serve as Active Pallbearers. Christian Bailey, Dwight Ingram, Robert Bewley, Ray Hall, Johnny Salyers, Rodney Rowlett ,Michael Keith, Eastman Crew #4 and Co-Workers will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Ronald Morgan, brother of Donald, in care of Judy Henry at 2715 Prestwick Court, Kingsport, TN 37660.
