Daisy Smith (Hayes) October 30, 1994 Johnson City -- Daisy A. Hayes, 60, N. Roan St., Johnson City, died Sunday (Oct. 30, 1994) at North Side Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Logan, W.Va., she resided in Kingsport, before movintg to Johnson ity in 1973. She was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church in Kingsport and attended Grace Free Will Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late James Everett Smith. Surviving are her husband, Mason Hayes; one daughter, Tamara K. Bulla, Johnson City; one son, Tim Hayes, Johnson City; his mother, Gladys Smith Barger, Bristol, VA; two grand-children; two brothers, James Smith, Kingsport and Robert Smith, Dothan, Ala.; one sister, Louide Klapper, Milwaukee, Wis. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, Johnson City. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the South Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Haney officitating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Washington County Memory Gardens. |

December 3, 1996 Ronald Smith, 62, 784 Bell Ridge Road, Kingsport, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 3, 1996) at his home after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Kingsport where he resided his entire life and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Greenvale Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Onnie Ann Jennings Smith; his step-mother, Juanita Click Smith. Surviving are his wife, Nellie Ray Smith, Kingsport; one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Annette) Johnson, Kingsport; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Connor Johnson; his father, William Clyde Smith, Kingsport, one sister, Mrs. Herman (Helen) Shoemaker, Kingsport; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Truman Ferguson and the Rev. Rick Vannoy officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Oak Hill Cemetery with the American Legion Hammond Post No. 3 in charge.
