Billy Waye

Billy Raymond Waye, 40, 1500 Skyview Drive, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday (June
2, 1991) at Indian Path Medical Center after an extended illness.
Born in Kingsport where had lived his entire
life, he was a graduate of Lynn View High School Class of 1968. He
had been employed at Tennessee Eastman Company since graduating from high
school and was a member of West View Missionary Baptist Church where he
had taught Sunday School for several years.
Mr. Waye was active in Little League Baseball,
coaching in the Lynn Garden Optimist Program and was a member of the State
A.S.A. Class A Softball of 1978.
He was preceded in death by one son, Shannon
Waye; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Waye
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Fay Woods Waye, of
the home; one daughter, Ammie Waye of the home; one son, Billy Waye, of
the home; one sister, Mrs. Gerald (Erma Lee) Ward, Nashville; two
brothers, Robert "Bobby" Waye and Roy G. Waye, both of
Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at
West View Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Stout officiating.
The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes
prior to services.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
