Snowbirds March 2008

Although the bird feeders didn't seem to be noticed all winter, the big snow March 7-8, 2008 seemed to bring them all out.  I saw up to 6 male cardinals with their partners.  Red-winged black birds were there as well, as seen above, but I couldn't any close up pictures of the blackbirds as they were the first to fly away when I approached the door.

Unknown Bird #1 - Tiger

Here is the Tiger bird with the snowbird that I believe to be the Junco.

Could it just be a sparrow, or do those go south for the winter?

Unknown Bird #2 - Fluffy

This picture is poor, through the glass, but you can see that there is an odd striped kind of coloring to the back of the bird.

Here's Fluffy getting a bite to eat.
